At 9:00 a.m. on March 26, 2023, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Kunming Marathon 2022 started in front of the Kunming Haigeng Hall. More than ten thousand participants from 18 countries and regions ran on the most beautiful plateau track on the coast of Dianchi Lake, measuring the beauty of Kunming with their feet. At the invitation of the organizer, SCO, and under the overall coordination of the International Office, CDSU, 16 students from the international standard dance team and the dancing cheerleading team of the School of Arts led by Teacher Liu Juan actively participated in the opening ceremony performance and served as warm-up leaders before the competition.

At the opening ceremony, there were enthusiastic Latin dances and neat and vigorous flower ball cheerleading. The wonderful performance of students of Chengdu Sport University (CDSU) attracted the attention of every participant, fully demonstrating the charm of CDSU!

With the vigorous and dynamic music, more than 10,000 marathon runners warmed up following the warm-up leaders before the marathon. Full pre-race warm-up can ensure that each runner can complete the task safely. After the warm-up, the performance team participated in the marathon to cheer for every runner! The vigorous CDSU people shone in the field, influencing everyone around them with their young and dynamic looks.

In the SCO Kunming Marathon, CDSU students practiced the school motto of maintaining vigor through movements and amassing vigor all the way up to the top, perfectly combined the sports spirit with the "Shanghai Spirit", and fully demonstrated the spiritual quality of CDSU people to seek breakthroughs bravely, work tenaciously and pursue excellence. The excellent performance of CDSU students at the opening ceremony was also highly praised by the organizers and all sectors of society.
