On the morning of March 29, 2023, Leonz Eder, Acting President of FISU, led a delegation of 72 members attending the Heads of Delegation (HoD) Meeting for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games to visit the rhythmic gymnastics venue for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games and learn about related preparations in Chengdu Sport University (CDSU). Attendees of the visit include Shu Weiping, Secretary of the Party Committee of CDSU, Pan Xiaofei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CDSU, Fu Dong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President of CDSU and Deputy Director of the Logistics Support Department of the Venue Operation Center, Ou Xuesong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Director of the Department of Publicity and United Front Work, and relevant leaders of the Wuhou Division Committee of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games.

  Shu Weiping, Secretary of the Party Committee of CDSU, accompanied Leonz Eder and the delegation to visit the press conference hall of the rhythmic gymnastics venue, the FOP (field of play) area of the venue, the area for athletes waiting for scores, the athlete waiting area, the awarding ceremony area, the mixed sampling area, the medical room, the anti-doping control room and other functional areas, as well as the athlete spectating flow and pick-up and drop-off points. The delegation members were introduced to Chengdu's characteristic culture, school-running background and talent training quality in English.

  Shu Weiping expressed that CDSU warmly welcomed President Leonz Eder and guests of the HoD Meeting for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games to the Chengdu Sport University. All CDSU members are completing the tasks assigned by FISU and the Executive Committee of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games in the best state and actively participating in the preparations for the rhythmic gymnastics competition of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games and the FISU World Conference. Teachers and students of CDSU look forward to meeting with guests again in the Games in July and August this year.

  During the visit, Leonz Eder fully recognized and highly praised the rhythmic gymnastics venues provided by the university. He said that he and the delegation were very impressed and surprised by the visit to CDSU to visit the rhythmic gymnastics venue for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. After continuous and meticulous preparation, CDSU has made full preparations for the opening of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. The venue has a complete organizational structure, basically in place infrastructure, games equipment in line with international standards, scientific and reasonable operation modes, and first-class reception services. The delegation is looking forward to the long-awaited international event at CDSU in the summer!
