On July 21, an online meeting was held between CDSU and University of Naples “Parthenope” on the cooperation between the two sides. The meeting was joined by a delegation of six representatives from the University of Naples “Parthenope” led by Rector Alberto Carotenuto, and Andrea Soricelli, Dean of Department of Movement Sciences and Wellbeing, President Pan Xiaofei, Li Lin, Director of Academic Affairs Office, and all members of International Office of CDSU.
President Pan greeted the friends from the University of Naples “Parthenope” and made a presentation on CDSU’s disciplines, faculty team, the effectiveness of talent training, the ability to serve the sports industry, and international cooperation. President Pan said that Italy is the birthplace of higher education in the world, and University of Naples “Parthenope” is an academically strong university with a long history, well known in Europe and the wider world. Since the signing of the memorandum of understanding on university-level cooperation in 2020, the two parties have jointly launched the “3+1” undergraduate dual-degree program. On this special occasion, CDSU is expected to take the program through a step forward, and on top of the existing cooperation projects, to identify opportunities for mutual cooperation in the fields of sports medicine and rehabilitation therapy by exchange of professors delegations, academic research, and joint programs for graduate students and doctoral candidates.
Rector Alberto Carotenuto said that it is deeply honored to cooperate with CDSU and has introduced the University of Naples “Parthenope” in terms of school governance, education and research, disciplines construction, and international cooperation. He hoped to deepen the mutual cooperation in different fields, especially in the field of sports and movement science, health and fitness, as well as talent exchange, resource sharing, and joint research in other professional areas, so as to start a new chapter of cooperation between the two universities.
