On the morning of April 14, Chengdu Sport University (CDSU) held a remote video conference with Springfield College in the Foreign Languages and Culture Center of Xingjian Building and signed the “2+2” cooperation agreement in the field of human movement science and therapeutic recreation of two universities. Six people including President Ms. Cooper and Vice President Ms. Potvin of Springfield College, had a meeting with CDSU President Shu Weiping, Li Lin, Director of Academic Affairs Office, Hu Yushi, Dean of School of Sports Medicine and Health, and relevant persons in charge of International Office.
President Shu Weiping said at the meeting that there was a deep foundation for cooperation between the two universities. CDSU is accelerating the construction of “double first-class” at present. He hopes that the two universities could develop more extensive and in-depth cooperation based on the principle of “resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation”.
President Ms. Cooper said that Springfield College attaches great importance to establishing a long-term and friendly cooperative relationship with Chengdu Sport University, and is very willing to accept more teachers and students from Chengdu Sport University for exchange and study and cultivate more high-level talents in various fields.
Two universities have carried out various activities such as exchange visits, teacher training, and academic research since a few years ago. The “2+2” cooperation agreement signed between the two universities is not only an expansion of business, but also a continuation of friendship.
Springfield College is located in Massachusetts, USA. Founded in 1885, as a college with a long history in the United States that is known for cultivating sports talents, Springfield College has trained a large number of PE teachers, scientific researchers, and management personnel. Springfield College has the School of Sports Science and Sports Studies, and the School of Physical Education and Health. The sports medicine and sports psychology of the college enjoy a high reputation in the United States and even the world.
