On the afternoon of September 15, a delegation of four representatives from University of Cumbria and QS Quacquarelli Symonds paid a visit to CDSU. President Pan Xiaofei had a reception meeting with the delegation in the VIP room of the First Office Building, joined by relevant personnel from the Institute of Sports Medicine and Health, the Faculty of Leisure Sports, and the International Office.
President Pan Xiaofei welcomed the guests and showed them the promotional film to introduce CDSU's discipline, talent training, faculty team, and other related information. President Pan said that the University of Cumbria has a rich culture background and world-leading quality of education and teaching, notably famous for its faculty strength in medical and health care, and outdoor education. CDSU hopes to take the opportunity of this visit to establish cooperation with the University of Cumbria and even other British universities to strengthen the construction of first-class faculty and disciplines and to take another step forward in talents cultivation. Quacquarelli Symonds is the world’s most authoritative university data analysis organization, offering a number of professional services to many universities, organizations, think tanks and undergraduates, masters and doctoral students around the world, and CDSU would like to establish a connection with it and work together to identify the areas of cooperation between the two sides.
The representatives of the University of Cumbria expressed their willingness to promote the exchange of information and education program between the two universities, deepen the friendly cooperation between the two sides, so as to help build a faculty team of international standard and make students more globally competitive.
At the meeting, the representative of QS China hopes to combine CDSU's disciplinary advantages and QS's professional data collection and analysis services to create a professional sports data center with greater global influence through university-enterprise cooperation.
