From November 5th to 7th, the 4th ASIA Congress and 3rd ASIA Annual General Meeting hosted by Aspire Academy were successfully held in Doha, Qatar. CDSU joined the ASIA on April 22 this year, Professor Li Zaihui from the International Office of CDSU attended the meeting and the membership ceremony in Doha on behalf of the school as a new member of the association.
The Asian Sport Institute Association (ASIA) was established in 2015 consisted of the Hong Kong Sports Institute, the Singapore Institute of Physical Education, the Aspire Academy and the Japanese Sports Association. It is dedicated to provide more professional exchange and cooperation opportunities to athletes, coaches and managers, to promote the long-term development of Asian sports.
At the conference, the delegates gave lectures and discussions in four forums around the theme of “Optimizing the Development of Athletes”. While introducing the general situations of CDSU, Professor Li shared and discussed the issue of athlete training, coach training, sports science team building and sports science and technology innovation according to the school experiences. During the conference, Professor Li also visited the Aspire Institute Gymnasium, Physical Fitness Training Center, Medical Laboratory and other venues, conducted in-depth exchanges with the other members of association on inter-school cooperation.
