On February 14, 2022, Chengdu Sport University (CDSU) held a video conference with the University of Montpellier ("Université de Montpellier" in French) to discuss the cooperation between the two universities. The School of Football and the International Office of CDSU attended the conference.

    At this conference, the two parties discussed plenty of matters, such as the exchanges and cooperation between their faculty members and students, training programs for faculty members, academic advancement programs for students, training of high-level sports coaches, and collaboration in competitions. The two parties have reached a preliminary cooperation intention and agreed to conduct further in-depth exchanges.

     During the conference, the University of Montpellier pointed out that the sports exchange between France and China has been long-standing, and they are looking forward to the cooperation between the two universities. They sincerely hoped to establish substantial inter-university cooperation with CDSU as soon as possible and to contribute to the collaboration between the two countries in sports.

      The University of Montpellier is directly under the Ministry of National Education of France. Founded in 1289, it is one of the oldest universities in the world. Besides, it is a French public university and a comprehensive higher education institution recognized and recommended by the Ministry of Education of China.
