On the morning of June 20, the commencement and degree awarding ceremony for the class of 2023 students of Chengdu Sport University was held in the first athletic field. Leaders of the university, members of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee and Academic Committee, representatives of alums, all teaching staff, representatives of external employees, and all graduates of the class of 2023 attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wu Hongli, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CDSU.

The wonderful warm-up performance created a cheerful atmosphere for the ceremony. The dynamic dance "Star" showed the enthusiastic and vigorous spirit of CDSU students; the music dance poem "To Graduates" expressed the sincere blessings of students to graduates and their deep friendship.

At 8 am, the ceremony began with the solemn national anthem.

At the ceremony, Prof. Pan Xiaofei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President and Chairman of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of CDSU, delivered a speech titled "Hand in Hand to Forge Ahead to a Bright Future in the Name of Youth." First of all, on behalf of the University, he expressed his warmest congratulations to the 2,690 graduates who successfully completed their studies and his most sincere thanks to the faculty and staff who helped them earnestly and their parents who raised them diligently. He recalled the extraordinary campus time of the graduates and listed the achievements of the graduates of the class of 2023 who had worked together with their classmates to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and overcome the difficulties, and affirmed the true comradeship, dedication, and pragmatic spirit shown by the students during the important periods of pandemic prevention and control, University's 70th Anniversary celebration activities and the preparation of the FISU World University Games.

He expressed the hope to encourage all graduates: First, let patriotism and service to the country become a firm choice and highlight the true nature of youth; Second, let lifelong learning become an inexhaustible motivation and renew the energy of youth; Third, let the self-practice become an excellent character and inspire youth vitality. At last, he hoped that all graduates should keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's ardent wish for the youth, and aspire to be good youth of the new era who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can bear hardships, and are willing to struggle. The university looks forward to the graduates of the class of 2023 having a bright future in the name of youth!

Wu Hongli, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice presidentof CDSU, presided over the graduation ceremony.

Huang Weizhi, an alumnus of the Department of Sports Medicine, Party Secretary, and Chief prosecutor of the Chengdu High-tech Zone Procuratorate, encouraged the graduates to set goals and achieve the best of themselves.

Associate Professor Yan Hong of the School of Leisure Sports, on behalf of the faculty, expressed sincere congratulations to all the graduates of the class of 2023.

Ms. Wang Yan, the representative of the back office and the assistant director of the apartment service center, expressed care for the graduates, hoping that the graduates have a bright future.

On behalf of the students, Wang Xiangbo, Class of 2021, sent his sincere wishes to the graduates who have successfully completed their studies.

On behalf of all graduates, Duan Xintong expressed her heartfelt thanks to the teachers and parents for their hard work and her gratitude to the university. In the future, the graduates of the class of 2023 will start a new journey with their aspirations, bearing in mind the wishes and expectations of their teachers and parents.

Prof. Li Lin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President, Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee declared the Decision on Degree Awarding by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Chengdu Sport University, and President Pan Xiaofei conferred the degrees on the representatives of graduates.

Researcher Xu Wanbing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, declared the Decision of Chengdu Sport University on the Commendation of 2023 Sichuan Provincial Excellent Graduates, School-level Excellent Graduates and Grassroots Employment Incentives for Graduates, and the leaders of the university and alumni representatives presented awards to the representatives of excellent graduates.

Shu Weiping, Secretary of the Party Committee of CDSU, presented awards to graduates and selected students who volunteered to work in Xinjiang, Tibet and other minority regions;

Luo Jiafu, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, presented awards to graduates who volunteered for grassroots in Ganzi, Aba, and Liangshan prefectures;

Fu Dong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CDSU, presented awards to graduates who started their own business.

Zheng Yu, member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Organization of the Party Committee of CDSU, presented awards to representatives of outstanding graduates at the university level.

Alumni representative: Huang Weizhi, Party Secretary and Chief Procurator of Chengdu High-tech Zone Procuratorate, presented the award to the representative of provincial outstanding graduates.

After seeingthe graduation commemorative video "Temperature", which is full of precious college memories and warm feelings, all graduates took the collective oath.

Students and teachers sang the school song and the commencement was successfully concluded.
